2013-12-30 ACS achieves Advanced Technology Partner (ATP) program status for Cisco's Identity Services Engine products. We are the only regional provider of this product that enables greater visibility of who is on your network and what they are doing.
2012-02-01 Launch of new Helpdesk ticket and support system for our customers ( as well as an updated monitoring portal for customers with network monitoring contracts.
2011-03-01 Windsor and Essex is selected as one of the TOP 7 Intelligent Communities in the world by the ICF. ACS is proud to have played a role in the Intelligent Community through its' contributions in network infrastructure projects for the public/private sector over the last 14 years.
2010-11-01 New service offering of Xenserver 5.5 launched as an alternative to customers that require cost effective virtualization for their Small Business.
2008-03-31 Cogeco Cable purchases the assets of MaXess Networx and continues to utilize ACS for local management and operations of the regional MPLS network.
2006-09-01 The ACS 'Utility Model' is introduced as a new sales/service model to enable cusotmers to have managed network equipment that is covered in a single contract for purchase, service, maintenance and support. This model is now better known as a Hardware-As-A-Service (HAAS) model.
2005-01-02 ACS continues to expand their voice offerings by introducing services related to Cisco's Call Manager Express (CME) products and the new Integrated Services Routers.
2004-04-01 ACS becomes part of a pilot project acting as one of the first indirect Canadian Resellers for Dell Computer Corporation.
2003-09-01 ACS 'Convergence' event held at Casino Windsor's convention space to showcase new network technologies. Highlight of the show was network convergence and the use of newer network and wireless technologies to provide data, voice and video services over a single network infrastructure.
2003-03-01 ACS broadens their networking portfolio with the deployment of Cisco Voice products and network engineering services for Quality-of-Service. We deploy our first voice system at ACS centered around Cisco's ICS7750 platform and 7900 series IP phones.
1999-02-01 In conjunction with Enwin Utilities, ACS begins design and engineering on a regional fibre optic network to support public sector entities in the Windsor-Essex region as well as connectivity to WEDnet. This endeavor would eventually grow to become MaXess Networx, a regional carrier covering 3 counties in which ACS provided network operations and maintenance services for.
1998-01-02 ACS becomes a Microsoft GOLD Certified partner specializing in deployment of Microsoft Windows Server environments.
1997-05-01 In conjunction with the University of Windsor and Shaw Communications, ACS deploys a local fibre-optic ATM network to support education and public sector entities in the region. The Windsor-Essex Development network is formed (WEDnet) with support and network deployment services from ACS as well as regional connectivity to the CANARIE research network.
1995-12-05 ACS Deploys Canada's first private/corporate ATM network based on networking hardware from Digital Equipment Corporation and SMC. This network was deployed for Casino Windsor to cover their Interim location, the Northern Belle Riverboat, management and business offices.
1995-01-01 ACS begins specializing in network communications with products from IBM, Digital and SMC.
1993-04-01 ACS opens for business specializing in SCO Unix/Linux systems, PCs and software applications.
